Trucks are integral parts of a Skateboard. They are attached to the Deck connecting to the wheels and deck.

Structurally, Trucks are composed of two parts; the top part known as Baseplate and Lower part known as Hanger. The axle runs through the Hanger. Bushings are installed between the Baseplate and the Hanger providing the cushion mechanism for turning the skateboard. A bolt called a kingpin holds these parts together and fits inside the bushings.

Trucks allow the rider to go faster and stability besides maintaining accurate balance and control.
