Longboard is a type of skateboard which has a longer and wider shape for longboarding. Longboard Skateboards allow big turns or quick short carves similar to a Surfboard. They are used for cruising and downhill racing.

Longboard Skateboards can be shaped in different ways, depending on the type of riding intended. Prominent Longboard shapes include Pintails, Flat Nose Riders, and boards shaped like a Longer Shortboard.

Normally, Longboard Skateboards measure between 90 and 150 cm.

While longboarding wrist, elbow, and knee protection is always recommended.
