Wheels

Skateboard Wheels are made of urethane and available in different sizes & hardness. The type of skateboard wheels also depends on the riding terrain or surface.

Smaller wheels offer a lesser control when maneuvering tricks as compared to larger wheels which provide more stability. As far as the sizes are concerned, at I-SkateBoards.com, we suggest wheel sizes from 52-55 MM for slow riding on streets, parks & pool riding; 56-60 MM for a slightly faster ride and 60+ MM for longboards & speedy skateboarding on rough patches.

The performance of the skateboard wheel also depends upon its hardness. The harder the wheel the faster it moves. Due to its hardness the wheel absorbs less vibration and thus has a poor grip. At I-SkateBoards.com we recommend harder wheel for street skaters. As compared to harder wheel, softer wheels offer a smoother & have a slower ride. Thus they are usually recommended for longboarding to downhill skateboarding. The down side of a softer wheel is that it wears out faster.

3DM Cambria, Autobahn Dual Duro, Abec 11 Lime Retro FreeRides, Abec 11 Flywheels, Abec 11 Grippinsa and Autobahn L.E. Dual are some of the best Skateboard wheels available at I-SkateBoards.com.
