While nuts & bolts keep your skateboard together, bearings ensure faster mobility. Grip tapes on the other hand provide a grove between the skateboarder and his skateboard. We recommend you to clean skateboard bearings at regular interval of time. This will not only increase the life span of the bearings but would also ensure a smoother ride.

Whenever on a dusty or a gravel filled road make sure you clean your bearings. This would require a skateboard lubricant and some old rags & paper towels. You could also use kerosene of mineral spirits for cleaning your skateboard bearings. Grip tapes on the other hand are easier to apply. Just make sure the edges are also covered. One should go slow and straight while gripping the entire skateboard. Any crease left while gripping the paper would result in lesser hold. Also such creases allow more dust & moisture to seep in spaces and diminish the adhesive value of the grip.
